I love to rock back and forth when I'm standing on my Wurf board!
I use my large Wurf board about 4 hours a day. Its hard to believe how comfortable it actually is. When I stand on the floor, or even those black mats, my back begins to hurt and I have to sit within an hour. When I stand on the Wurf Board, my feet and legs are always moving slightly. The Wurf Board looks cool with the retro surf look. When I do decide to sit, I just push the board aside. Love my Wurf! - Alison I.
I love my WURF board! Working at a standing desk all day has helped me stay active and healthy but it was starting to take a toll on my knees. The WURF has been a great relief and a fun way to keep me standing. I could not recommend the WURF board enough!!!
I just recently switched to a standing desk. Before I would work slouched over my computer and constantly have back pain. Now I'm able to stand for long period of time comfortably with little to no back pain.
I recently got a nice stand up desk to help with my legs and back. Sitting all day (home office) and night - not good. I saw ad for the Wurf Board recently on flight magazine, then checked out the video. Have been using the pad that came with the desk, but this Wurf Board is so differnet. Much better. Can stand longer and it keeps me moving around. Got to remember to do squats every hour. Looing forward to working tomorrow and surfing at my desk.
I built my own stand up desk for work when I realized that sitting for hours a day was killing not only my figure, but also my energy and focus. My mother just bought me a Wurf Board for Christmas and I was so excited that I immediately started using it. It's been a few weeks now and I love that I can stand on this, stretch and keep moving throughout my day whenever I choose to stand. It keeps me feeling energized and tuned in until my work is through!
I saw the ad for these Wurf Boards in a SWA magazine. When ordering online, only the large size was available. When it arrived, I'm glad I got the large. I have an adjustable standing desk and have resorted to just sitting because my back hurts too much when standing in a fixed position. The "springiness" of the Wurf board is a great feature. It's not too tall so you can't step off it and roll your ankle. It turned out to be better than expected and more effective for my back as it encourages movement. A little pricey but cheaper than a PT appointment. I'm really happy with my purchase. The board delivered what it promised.
Sorry for the delay in response, but I didn't think it fair to review a product the day after I received it. Especially a product whose effects should be noticed and sustained over a period of time.
I've been at my office job for 12 years at a machine shop. I'm the buyer. First 10-1/2 years I was a desk-sitter. Started to develop pain in my neck, wrists, and upper back. I'm 39, and in decent shape. Even with all the running around I do away from my desk, this pain persisted.
So I built a wooden keyboard stand and propped my monitors on my cubie shelf. Under my feet was a 5/8" thick anti-fatigue mat that I usually buy for the shop guys. I have been using this to work at my desk standing for over a year until I received a Varidesk from the company last November.
My neck, wrists, back... all good since standing. However, my ankles and heels started feeling the grunt.
So here we are. A monthish into using my Wurf board and I'm ready to review.
Firstly, maintaining inflation. I noticed that if I pumped it up to the "firmest" setting, after a day, it deflates a teensy bit. I enjoy the variation so this is not a negative, just something that has been noticed. The last time I inflated it to its firmest was over a week ago. It has maintained the slightly-less-inflated status since then.
I am wondering how durable the area around the inflation nozzle is. Sometimes, I stand on one foot with the knee of my other leg resting on the desktop. The standing foot is positioned in the middle of the Wurf board, sometimes half on the nozzle itself.
I love how it says "JumpSport" on it, yet should not be jumped on. I understand why, but it's still funny. I wonder how many people were confused by this. I bounce on mine sometimes. A very small bounce to keep the knees from remaining mobile or locked too long.
All in all I am very pleased with the Wurf board. It makes movement almost involuntary and has greatly improved the feeling of my joints as well as the pads of my feet. I would highly recommend this product to others and hope to be included in future developments of standing technology.
Have a good one and thank you for all of your efforts in bringing this to fruition. I am sure I'm not alone in benefitting from its creation.
The Wurf is better than I imagined. Until it arrived I was just standing on a mat and struggling with a recent L5 disk herniation. This is comfortable, and provides cushion to take pressure off the legs and back. It is worth every dollar. I have told several about it already. As a Physician we encourage movement in the office, this is perfect as I find myself just bouncing on it and doing calf raises while between patients. I got a large, could have done a medium, but I like the space to move around it.
I received a standup desk for my anniversary. I was standing most all day and thought it was perfect. How naive I was. NOW it is prefect because of my wurfboard. I hate leaving my home office each night.
Excellent product. Only suggestion is to move the valve, preferably to the underside or, if not there, to the "top" as you look at it to keep it out from under heels. However, solution is easy, just rotate it to upside down so the valve is at the top between toes instead of heels. See pic.
